Schrassig makes a set with  5 localities (Schuttrange, Munsbach, Uebersyren, Schrassig and Neuhaeusgen)  of the municipality of Schuttrange which is located on the outskirts of the capital of Luxembourg.

It has a village character surrounded by fields and forests, but also important road and rail axes with the A1 motorway to the north towards Trier and a railway line serving the town.

 

In total, the municipality has in 2020 4,247 inhabitants of 82 different nationalities spread over 16.1 km². (2020)

The Syrdall business area in the north of the town, directly linked to the motorway, is a real center of activity with around X jobs and Y companies.

 

The school campus with the school, the relay house, the cultural center, a nursery and sports facilities located in the center of the town offers families all the infrastructure necessary for their activities.

The municipality of Schuttrange actively fights against climate change by implementing projects beneficial for the climate in the various fields of sustainable development. 200 m from the cycle path leading to Sandweiler, Moutfort, Schuttrange and Senningerberg to join the PC2 which leads to Echternach.
